PODCASTING

“If a story is not about the hearer he will not listen. And here I made a rule – a great and interesting story is about everyone or it will not last.”

-John Steinbeck

Down The Hill: The Delphi Murders

In 2019, HLN jumped into audio storytelling with their first ever in-house produced documentary podcast Down The Hill. In the 9 hour investigation, I, along with co-host Barbara MacDonald and producer Dan Szematowicz, did a deep dive into the horrific unsolved murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in the small town of Delphi, IN in 2017. The podcast spent weeks at the top of the Apple Podcast chart, has eclipsed 20 million downloads and was adapted into a two-hour television special on HLN and HBO Max.

The 2180 Podcast

In 2018, I created and produced The 2180, a podcast about the men and women who hike the Appalachian Trail. A first person style narrative show, thru-hikers of Americas most famous trial recount the successes, failures and commitment required to hike the iconic 2,180 mile trail that runs from Georgia to Maine.
